Dr. Ishmael L. Togbah is one of Africa’s distinguished sons, a proud Liberian by birth, and a widely traveled inspirational and motivational speaker whose influence has touched lives across nations and communities. He is a renowned writer, social worker, humanitarian, entrepreneur, educator, and visionary leader who has dedicated his life to advancing education, leadership, history, faith, and human development.
Dr. Togbah serves as the Founder and President of the Liberia National Academy of History and Heritage and the Founder and President of the Liberia National Academy of Letters and Arts, institutions committed to preserving Liberia’s rich cultural, historical, intellectual, and artistic heritage.
A respected historian, scholar, and UNESCO-recognized professor, Dr. Togbah is also recognized as the National Representative of the Order of the International World Learned Society in the United States of America, alongside several other prestigious international affiliations and recognitions.
He currently serves as the Global President of the Global Federation of World Class Universities, Colleges, Seminaries and Educational Organizations and is the National and Africa Regional Director of the American Association of Higher Education Accreditation. His leadership continues to strengthen international educational partnerships and academic advancement across Africa and beyond.
Dr. Togbah is also the National Representative of the African Information Technology Consultancy and Crown University International, as well as the National Mayor and Director of the British American Open University of California and its associate organizations.
In addition, he serves as the prestigious Visiting Professor and General Director Liberia for Appleton Private University, where he continues to contribute significantly to academic excellence, international educational collaboration, and leadership development.
As the Founder and President of Great Commission Christian University, Dr. Togbah has played a major role in promoting accessible, faith-based, and internationally connected higher education. He also serves as the Africa Representative of the Global Academy of Finance and Management and is a National Fellow of the Liberia Academy of Sciences.
In the area of faith and spiritual leadership, Dr. Togbah serves as the National Bishop Primate of the Worldwide Anglican Church of Liberia. He is also a board member of the Asian Arab Institute of Diplomacy, contributing to international dialogue, diplomacy, and educational cooperation.
Dr. Ishmael L. Togbah is widely respected as a diplomat, educator, historian, theologian, philosopher, psychologist, leadership expert, and mentor. He is especially known for his impactful “On-the-Job Training” programs in Christian discipleship, leadership development, and practical empowerment, through which he has trained and inspired countless individuals.
